This Toyota MR2 MK1 is no ordinary MR2. Instead of housing the usual 1.6 engine, it now sports a 3.4 V6 normally found in the Lotus Evora and new Toyota Camrys. Being over 20 years old the seats needed some attention to bring it up to date along with its new engine.

Digital Preview of MK1 MR2 seat retrim

With the inspiration of the  rare ‘Twin Cam 16’ embroidered seats, we took this design and tweaked it.

Edge Automotive added leather panels with alcantara ‘shoulder pads’ and centers. We also removed the piping and added twin needle stitch detail along the bolsters. Finally suggested some custom embroidery featuring ‘Quad Cam 24’ to echo the rare twin cam seats.

To make sure the customer was happy with his ideas he asked if there was any way he could see a final result. There was no problem with his request and we offered our services to produce a digital mock up of the seats (right click to englarge). He was more then happy with the chosen colours, materials and embroidery design and so Edge Automotive went ahead with the project.
