Steering Wheel Retrim
Everything you need to know about how to get your steering wheel retrim. We aim to complete the process in just 4-5 days.
PRICING
Steering wheel retrims start at £220. No VAT to pay.
That covers a standard retrim in leather, Alcantara or Dinamica. Options like a contrast 12 o’clock marker, a specific factory colour or added rim thickness are quoted on the wheel, send me a photo and I’ll give you a price.
YOU DON’T PAY UNTIL YOU’RE HAPPY
When the wheel is finished I photograph it and send the pictures over. You look at the work and confirm you’re happy with it. Only then do I take payment.
If something isn’t right, it doesn’t leave the workshop.

Send it or drop it off
Post the wheel to me, or drop it in if you’re local to Rugby. No need to book in advance.
I do the work
Original covering comes off, the wheel is prepared properly, and it’s retrimmed to whatever we’ve agreed.
You see it before you pay
Photos of the finished wheel come to you first. Payment once you’ve confirmed you’re happy.
It comes back insured
Returned by Royal Mail Special Delivery, which includes £750 of insurance as standard.
A few notes before sending
- Don’t send the airbag. Leave it out, it stays with you. Airbags are pyrotechnic devices and shouldn’t go in the post at all.
- Leave everything else on. Buttons, trim, whatever is attached I’ll take those off here. No need to strip the wheel down.
- Use a box with room in it. The main thing is that the wheel isn’t wedged in tight and rubbing against the sides in transit. A box a bit bigger than you think you need, with some padding, is all it takes. Don’t spend money on packaging for the return leg I add protection for that.
TURNAROUND
I have wheels Monday to Friday and aim to get yours back to you before the Friday.
Most are done in a few days. If you’re working to a deadline, tell me when you send it and I’ll let you know what’s realistic.
