Edge Automotive Interior retrimmers have just finished this Renault Clio 197 F1. These particular models, the Clio 200 Cup and also in the Ford Focus RS are fitted with the great looking Recaros, however the customer wanted something extra on his seats to make them extra special.
The leather and alcantara were chosen – black hard wearing leather for the bolsters and a dark grey alcantara in the center. Red stitching brought together some of the red details on the outside of the car, such as the Brembo brake calipers. To make the retrim that little bit more personal, he chose to have an extra element of embroidery on the Recaros. The ‘R27’ logo was placed between the ‘Renault Sport’ and ‘Recaro’ embroidery giving it an OEM finish but still having that bespoke touch.
The seats aren’t the only thing that had a make over. The door cards and gear gaiter have been trimmed in leather, while the clock surround was treated with some alcantara. The old gear knob was refreshed with new alcantara and finished with cross hand stitching.
