Custom Motorbike Seat Upholstery

When it comes to making a motorcycle truly your own, the custom motorbike seat is one of the most impactful upgrades you can make. At EDGE Automotive, I’ve recently completed a couple of projects that show just how much character the right upholstery can bring to a bike.

BMW Custom motorbike seat

The first project was a BMW motorbike seat, where the goal was to combine luxury with subtle detail. I reupholstered it in high-quality black leather with a custom quilted design stitched into the surface. To make it stand out further, I added an Alcantara patch with a laser-etched logo, giving the seat a unique, high-end finish. It’s a perfect example of how a custom motorbike seat can enhance both the look and feel of the ride.

Bimota DB6 Custom motorbike seat

The second was a very different but equally enjoyable challenge — a Bimota motorbike seat in bold white and red vinyl. This design featured custom perforated panels and quilting, paired with a striking patch embroidered with the Bimota logo in red and green. The mix of textures and colours gave this seat a fresh, sporty look that really sets the bike apart.

What I enjoy most about working on motorbike seats is the variety. Each project has its own personality, whether it’s something subtle and refined or something that makes a bold statement. The smaller canvas of a bike seat means every detail counts, from stitching and materials to logos and finishing touches.
