VW T6 Doorcard Retrim

This VW T6 doorcard retrim was part of a small but impactful upgrade to bring a more premium feel to the Transporter’s interior. The original finish was looking tired, and the client wanted something that felt more premium without being too flashy. We opted for black Dinamica, a material that offers a subtle OEM+ look with a touch of luxury.

Custom Speaker Grill

One challenge on this job was ensuring a clean finish around the speaker grille area. The OEM setup didn’t lend itself to being reupholstered without compromise, so we designed and produced a custom speaker grille insert. This allowed us to maintain a tight, seamless wrap around the openings without visible cuts or puckering. The result is a professional look that blends in effortlessly with the rest of the panel. Attention to detail like this is what helps turn a simple retrim into a standout job.

Why Dinamica and not Alcantara?

We used black Dinamica for this retrim, which is a high-end synthetic suede often used in premium and performance vehicles. It’s not only stylish, but also durable and easy to maintain. Dinamica adds a tactile, matte finish that cuts down on glare and feels soft to the touch — ideal for daily use in a van like the T6.
